The preggo days are coming to an end :)

I can't believe I'm am 39 weeks pregnant! This has been an amazing journey.
It is such a miracle how God creates a human being! My friends have always said how they miss being pregnant. I think I understand what they are talking about now even though these last few weeks are not the greatest. I am going to miss feeling our little one kicking,
I went to see the Doctor Tues, things are looking good. I am dilated to a 1 (which really doesn't mean to much but at least the process has begun, and the baby has pretty much dropped, every day I feel more pressure on my pelvis, Baby's head is really really low so im hoping once 10 cm comes this baby will come right out :)
The doctor is guessing baby to be weighing about 8 lbs. Which is fine by me, I was 11 lbs when I was born so I had a little fear that I was going to have a big baby also but 8 lbs I can deal with :)

The next post will be an exciting one!!

WEEK 36 ! !

It's been a few weeks, sorry for the delay friends.
Me and baby are doing wonderful. It is just beginning to feel uncomfortable. When I sit he is not happy and kicks my ribs non stop. When I stand I seem to feel tired faster. My walk has become more of a slow stroll. LOL other than those minor things life is good! I think I am nesting on and off. Last week I cleaned and organized our pantry. Last night I went to town on the bathroom cupboards. OMG I had soo many 1/2 used bottles of things I got a full trash bag full of crap! It was such a good feeling. Next we are going up stairs and start packing up everything start getting ready for the move (which isn't until end of Aug early Sept. so I have some time.)

Back to baby, The last appointment was the 15th everything was perfect the Dr is pleased:) Next tues we go in for our first "exam" appointment. Me and Baby get a group B strep test. Dr makes sure he is in the right position. Which he has been at every appointment so far. It sure seems like he moves around so much its hard to believe his head stays in the same area. Which happens to be directly on my bladder. He must be a very LONG baby!
Then I start going in every week :) The count down has begun! Today is 30 days till his due date :)
Last week Monday I got my belly pics done :) I figure sense I'm free of stretch marks (as of now) I should capture this little guys every moment. I might not be so lucky with baby #2 Here are a few of my favorites!

I would like to post a prayer request for Janet Brown, My best friend Kaycie's Step Mom.
She went in for a robotic heart surgery a few days ago and there were some complications.
I heard she is stable this morning but still needs lots and lots of prayers to get her back to full recovery! It is very hard on this close family so pray for comfort for them as well, as all they can really do now is wait for the Good Lord to work miracles which we all know is what he does best! Thank you ! God Bless!

Time is flying

29 weeks and 3 days preggo today :)
We made it to the 3rd Trimester can't believe it, already?
We had a very busy week last week....
Monday I had my Doc appointment where I got my blood sugar checked. I failed my 1st test. My blood sugar was 150 1 hour after I drank the yummy orange drink. The doctor said 139 and below is good and 200 and above is Gestational Diabetes. So I was in the Gray area which means I had to go in for test #2 a 3 HOUR test at the hospital. I couldn't eat 12 hours before the test once I got there they drew my blood. Then I got to drink another orange drink (which tastes like Sunkist ;) and then every hour after that drink for 3 hours they draw blood. So needless to say I have 2 nice little bruises on my arms But it was worth it cause I PASSED!! I do NOT have Gestational Diabetes :) Bring on the sweets!! haha
I also sense I last updated found a new love for Garage sales! I went 2 days in a row and found a few outfits but the big thing was a CRIB! Here is my Sierra testing it out for us to make sure its good a sturdy. LOL She may look like she doesn't mind it in there but she wasn't to thrilled about it that's for sure. Gary makes Sierra try out everything 1st. He also put her in Baby's stroller. What is Daddy going to make the poor dog do next?

Time sure is going FAST!
Can't go fast enough though I'm really getting excited to meet our little man!

Here are a few pics of me and baby at 26 weeks.

Doing wonderful...

I went to see Doctor Krause today. I had an 11:00 appt, got a call at 10:50 saying she just ran out the door to do a delivery (which is so exciting :) That has to be the most amazing Job!!
We got to see her at 2:00 instead. We went over the Ultrasound from 2 weeks ago, Baby Newcomer is doing wonderful! He is in a 53% bracket. (which I didn't understand so I had her explain) They base the baby's growth on a percentage they don't want the baby under 10% and don't want to baby over 90%. Baby is Sitting perfect at 53% that was good to hear cause I have a feeling I am going to have a large baby, but so far he is normal weight :) Also 24 weeks is a big milestone for the pregnancy the baby is now viable. (I think that's the right word) Which means baby's chances of surviving outside the womb are high. Obviously there is alot of growing the baby has to do yet on the inside but that is a very encouraging feeling to have :)

Me on the other hand have to cut back on junk food. Gained a few to many lbs in the last 4 weeks. No more french fries for me :( The Doctor said its nothing to worry about! (but I'm still going to take it easy on the junk food)
While the Doctor had the Doppler thing on my stomach listening to his heartbeat he decided to kick it! not just a little kick but a "get that thing off my mommy" kick! haha It was to funny we both jumped a little it made a really loud noise out of the machine. Our active little guy had a heartbeat of 161bpm Doctor said he must have been moving for a while.
I also took a look at my belly bottom the other day and saw it is starting to pop out oh my word!! haha.
I also got the Valences for the baby's room. I wanted to make sure I liked the colors before all the bedding came in sense it was order online only and I LOVE IT!! If you want to check it out it is on my registry at JCPenny's.com
God Bless!

Pictures!

Here is baby giving us a peace sign :)
Daddy says he already has the Harley wave down :)

Another view of his hand

This one you can see his mouth is open
and his hands are by his face.

More Baby photos

Me and Baby went to get another Ultrasound done this morning.
The doctor STILL wasn't comfortable with my due date because we were going back and forth with when my cycle was and she was missing info in her computer from when we had the very first ultrasound done at 9 weeks. So we waited 4 weeks (which was today) and took more measurements to see the rate Baby was growing.
Turns out he is right on track! The due date still stands as July 23. He is weighing in at 1lb 8oz. Definitely growing! (and so am I)
It was cool to see how much of a change he made in just 4 weeks. Everything was more clear. And she confirmed again that it is infact a little boy ;)

Spring is here!!

Happy Spring!!
Gary and I just got back from a wonderful vacation in Orlando.
We did so many things...
Seaworld, The City Walk at Universal Studios and Downtown Disney. The only place we missed was Epcot.
It was Gary's 27th Birthday while we were gone and it was a cloudy day so the birthday boy got to pick what we were going to go do for the day. I recomended shopping but he picked Gatorworld! It was tons of Fun. 100+ acres of gators gators and more gators, It was also the largest bird sanctuary in FL (which I didn't enjoy so much sense I got pooped on by one the dumb things) but it made Gary's day ;)
Probably the most exciting thing that happened last week was at 12:20am 3/18/10 The morning of Gary's birthday he got to feel his little boy kick. It was the most special moment! He was saying Happy Birthday daddy, can't wait to meet you!
It wasn't just one little kick either it went on for a good 60 seconds. Maybe he was hicuping?
God is so good!
I also think my nesting might be setting in. I am starting to go through my basement and organize stuff. Getting real excited to start on a Baby's room but its just a little to early it would be empty and that would be no fun so I will continue to wait.....

IT'S A BOY!!

Monday Gary and I went to our big Ultrasound.
Many of you know that they make to drink a ton of water before this Ultrasound well i did just that. I had more than the 24oz they recommend you to have. We got there at about 8:50 got checked in. Sat there for about 20 min thinking what in the world is going on? They make me drink this much water and are going to make me just sit here?? So I got up some courage and went and talked to the lady at the desk. She said my appt wasn't until 9:30. DANGIT!!!! I had to pee so bad i didn't think I was going to be able to hold it. I was pacing the waiting room while Gary was sitting just laughing at me.
Very shortly after 9:30 we got called back. (I was very excited) Hoping that laying down would take the pressure off my bladder a little. NOPE she had to get the pics she needed with my full bladder then she let me use the restroom. Got back and the baby had lots more room and decided to flip around so we got more pics with his head facing the other direction. He's like ahhh I have so much more room. We caught him stretching out a little too, his back arched and his legs went almost straight. So fricken cute!!

Sorry couldn't get this one to upload correctly. But it is by far my Favorite.
I thought hearing the heartbeat was amazing, but this was breath taking.
The way you could see every little detail on our little guy. He was moving around the whole time :)
We thought about having the Ultrasound tech write down the gender on a piece of paper and we would open it later but I'm glad we didn't it was such a special moment in that room when we saw that is was a boy! Tears of joy from the both of us. The 1st shot she took trying to see the gender he was sitting with his legs tight together so we waited a little bit and tried again. Next time the little guy was sitting Indian style no doubt about it, there it was our little Man.We got an estimated length of a little more than 5 inch. His Heart rate was 140bpm.
Everything looked wonderful. She told us if there was a problem the Doctor would call and no news is good news :)
We are going to keep the name a secret in case some of you were wondering. You will have to wait till our little guy is born. :)

Cute little story about Sunday night....
I was so excited about the Ultrasound and finding out what we were having I could not stop thinking about baby names. So I started saying some to Gary trying to get him to pick a girl name or at least get our top 2 down. He said I will pick a boy name but we will talk about girl names tomorrow night after the Ultrasound. So i thought that is fair lets get this boy name figured out. So we had 5 then 2 then we both agreed on 1. It was actually easier than I thought it was going to be. And we never had to think about the girl names Gary just knew his little boy was in there.
We continue to Pray that the good Lord keeps me, baby and daddy healthy as the next 21 weeks approach.
Let the shopping for Baby Boy things BEGIN!!!

Update on the little one

Went to the Doctor today, Baby is doing WONDERFUL. Dr. Krouse was listening for the heartbeat, she said sometimes they still like to hide early on. She found the little heartbeat, come to find out Baby was being pretty active moving around so much she kept loosing it the little stinker :)
Heartbeat's a healthy 155bpm.
I believe I felt a little movement already. Call me crazy maybe it was a gas bubble?? (I want to think I felt a movement!) Doc said it is possible! That is the one thing I am SO excited to start feeling!
I measured 18cm right where I should be Dr said.
Last Sat I took my mom to Babies R Us and had SO much fun. Found a car seat/stroller travel set that I had to have!
And registered for what I could not knowing what we are having.
I have a pretty good idea on what we will paint and decorate the rooms for boy or girl all we have to do is find out.
Stay tuned for the next Blog entry. It will be the revealing of the gender of Baby Newcomer!!! Our appt is on the 22nd! We will be waiting patiently for my Parents to come home from Mexico before we tell everyone so look for the Post around the 24th.

January 11, 2010

Can't believe it is 2010 already!
We spent New Years Eve in Las Vegas this year. Tons of fun! We ended up surprising our friends from IN they had no idea we were going to be there :) I Had to skip out on going out to the clubs but my wonderful husband was understanding and stayed back with me :) The last night we were there we had a date night, we went up in to the stratosphere hotel, the elevator you take up feels like you are in a space ship being shot up into space, it starts counting the levels then it stops im guessing because we are going to fast for it to count them, till we are at 115th floor very cool!
We got to see Vegas from the "top of world". Then we had supper at this awesome 50's diner. We were going to eat at the resturant at the top of the stratosphere but they did not have any reservations open (thank goodness because we then looked at the menu 80 a person, Im sure we would not have got out of that resturant with lower than a $200.00 bill.) thats is more than it cost us to spend a night in vegas.
As for today Gary and I went to my 2nd doctors appointment. :)
We got to hear our little ones heart beat a health 167 bpm. Both of our eyes teared up a little it really is the most heart warming feeling when you hear it. Still so small yet so alive inside me.
Other exciting news I was worried i was gaining wait but not baby weight come to find out i have not gained a lb very good feeling. It might be because i am finding myself hugging the toilet more often which i am SO ready to be done with!! 2 more weeks and i should be in the clear feeling wonderful all my energy back and maybe even sleeping a little better.
I also set up my big ultrasound up today 7 weeks from now we should be able to figure out what we are having :)
Just some fun facts about our little one.
I am just entering my 12th week, baby should be measuring 2.5 inches weighing .5 oz.
The size of a large plum.
I have 28 weeks to go!!
